Marion S. Perez, Ed.S.

Certified Colorado/New Mexico Teacher (Foreign Language & Social Studies)

Marion was born and raised in Regensburg, Germany. Her father was in the military, which gave her an opportunity to travel and learn about many different cultures and ultimately led her to a love of languages and culture. Marion's passion for people started at a very young age and her love for education initially grew while teaching ELL in Baku, Azerbaijan.   She has worked in Education for over 18 years (secondary, post-secondary). Marion has a Bachelor of Arts in History and German, a Master of Arts in Education; an Education Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership; and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education. She is married to her best friend Aaron Perez and together they have three children. Marion enjoys reading and hiking with her family!

 

Aaron M. Perez, Ed.S.

Certified New Mexico Teacher, Certified Colorado Principal

Aaron was born at Kirtland, Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico and adopted to a loving family in Artesia, New Mexico. He was raised in a bilingual home and his mother is an Educator of 30 years, which provided him with a love of education and a foundation of culture and learning. Aaron has spent the last 15 years working in the field of education in various capacities; as a Program Manager for New Mexico Space Grant (education programs), as a classroom educator in a brick-and-mortar, as a Curriculum Developer and Consultant for a tribal college, and now as the Principal for a blended/online high school in Denver, CO. Aaron has a B.A. in Psychology, an M.A. in Educational Learning Technologies, an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership, and will be completing his Ed.D. in Education Psychology. Aaron is married with three children. In his spare time, Aaron enjoys fly fishing, hiking with his family, and grilling/smoking food!

Lilia Guerrero

My name is Lilia Guerrero, but you can call me Mrs. Lili. I am married and have five daughters! While my two older girls have gone through public school and currently in college, my three younger girls are homeschooled! We have a very fun and energetic household. I have taught in a number of settings and have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. In my spare time, I help my husband with our home-based woodworking business. I should mention that I was born in México and Spanish is my first language. After moving to the U.S. at the age of 4, I continued to uphold and preserve my love for the Spanish language and culture. My most recent initiative to globalize myself was by spending time in Italy on a mission trip. I love having a Mexican-American culture!

Tenecia N. Trammel-Yeboah, M.A., CCC-SLP

Tenecia N. Yeboah brings over 20 years of experience in the field of speech-language pathology.  Her practical experiences include school-based, clinic-based, early intervention, and private practice within the pediatric population. In addition, Tenecia Yeboah has provided services within the adult populations in hospitals and Skilled Nursing Facilities.

Ms. Yeboah served 6 years as a College Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Clinical Education at New Mexico State University. During this time, she co-authored “Bilingualism and AAC: Inter-related Themes and Issues” and presented on state and national levels on the subject matter of bilingualism, and clinical education. Her clinical interests include pediatric language and speech disorders, bilingualism, and literacy. Tenecia has a multicultural, international family, is the wife of a phenomenal husband and mother of 4 amazing children.

Johanna Duran, TESOL

"Hallo", my name is Johanna Duran. I am married and I have four children.

I was born in South-East Germany - Bavaria - and this is where I live now. I went to a German Gymnasium and completed my Abitur. After that. I joined an international missions organization called Youth With a Mission (YWAM). During that time, I lived in 3 countries and visited more than 10. Through YWAM, I earned my AA in Intercultural Sciences and a TESOL certificate.

My mother tongue is German. I also speak English and Dutch. My children have grown up in a bilingual home, which is a real privilege for them. In my free time, I love to read, go out in nature with my family, and improve my photography or drawing skills. I also enjoy traveling and trying new foods.
